Competition entry - Val De Vie Estate
Three design contestants had 10 weeks to turn three, white-box apartments, into luxurious homes on a prestigious lifestyle estate in the Cape Winelands. The design contestants were mentored by three of the country’s biggest design and decor magazines. The design contestants were connected with leading, and up-and-coming product developers, artisans, artists, and creatives, collaborating to achieve the impressive standards of the previous seasons.
Rudolph Jordaan is a freelance designer in Cape Town, working on various design projects while lecturing at Inscape Education Group. Rudolph teamed up with Beth to produce an amazing kitchen for his first-prize home. When Rudolph was asked about his favourite room in the house, this is what he had to say, "The kitchen is really something new and fresh for the SA market and responds to apartment living. It's modular approach adds more value than other styles because of its flexibility and the need to customise. The sleek use of Caesarstone, coveted appliances by Smeg and the leather art cu-out sliding screen on the TV unit are some of my favourites.
Win a Home lived up to its name and one lucky viewer won their choice of one the three brilliantly designed Polo Village apartments on the prestigious lifestyle estate of Val De Vie in the Cape Winelands.
